Buffalo[1] are a real-life species of horned mammals introduced in Mario Kart World. They are found in Faraway Oasis and the savanna region that surrounds it.
Buffalo run around in herds, knocking over any racers that collide into them. This forces any racer to drive around them if any herds of buffalo appear.
