The Blastronaut III is a trike[Japanese] that appears in Mario Kart World. The trike resembles a rocket, sporting a three-wheeled design, an orange nose cone, fins, and exhaust pipes, metal wheel guards for the rear tires, and a blue seat. The emblem is located underneath the trike. It is the only vehicle in the game to utilize unique glide wings, as the fins on the side extend outwards to become the wings instead of the wings being connected to the bottom of the vehicle. The trike has a similar engine sound as the Blue Falcon and Jet Bike from Mario Kart 8, bearing a jet-like sound.
In terms of stats, the Blastronaut III has good acceleration, as well as average speed and weight, but it has low handling.
This trike is randomly used by the CPU-controlled Pauline, Mario (Aviator), Donkey Kong (All-Terrain), Toad (Engineer), and Toadette (Conductor).

Naming[edit]
"Blastronaut" is a pun on "blast" and "astronaut", referencing a rocket's ability to blast off. The Roman numeral "III" may allude to the many space missions followed by a numeral, the most famous of which being Vostok 1 and Apollo 11.
