Camels appear in Super Mario media, such as The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and the Club Nintendo comic "Mario's Picross."

The Super Mario Bros. Super Show![edit]

A camel appears in "Mario's Magic Carpet" of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, only at the start of the episode. Mario is leading it while Luigi, Toad and Princess Toadstool are riding it. While getting tricked by the desert's mirages, Mario dives into an oasis with a waterfall, but when he realizes he is being tricked, he discovers that the moisture sensation he felt was due to the camel licking his face. After the four jumps into the pool-trampoline trap of Sultan Pasbah, the camel is not seen again.

Club Nintendo German magazine[edit]

In the "Mario's Picross" comic, Mario encounters a herd of dromedary camels while visiting Egypt. They are depicted in a variety of colors, including brown, gray, and white. When Mario is chased by angry Egyptians, he decides to ride a green dromedary resembling Yoshi. However, as soon as he gets on, the dromedary runs away, flinging Mario off. When he encounters the very same dromedary later on in the comic, it kicks him away angrily.

The camels in Minecraft are given a unique Super Mario–esque design in the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack.
