Turtlevania, also called the Land of Turtlevania,[1] is a location appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Count Koopula", appearing as a forested region with many trees and hills. It is a reference to the region of Transylvania, located in Romania. Count Koopula's castle is located in Turtlevania.
Naming[edit]
"Turtlevania" is a portmanteau of "turtle" and Transylvania, a historical region in western Romania.
