Fort Hard Knox is the piggy bank-shaped treasury of Spy Land. It only appears in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "On Her Majesty's Sewer Service," where Koopfinger and his minions rob it and steal "nine-hundred and ninety-nine zillion trillion billion million and one" gold coins from the treasury.

Naming[edit]

"Fort Hard Knox" is a portmanteau of Fort Knox, a fortress holding much of the United States's gold reserves, and the idiom "school of hard knocks," a term used to describe the simple education given by mere life.
