The Golden Wrench is a tool appearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Plummers Academy."
The Golden Wrench is briefly seen at the beginning of the episode, where Luigi uses it to fight off Mouser and King Koopa's Koopa Troopas.
It is later seen at the end of Mario's flashback, where the president honors him and Luigi for saving him, rewarding Mario with his Golden Plumber's Helper and Luigi with his Golden Wrench. Princess Toadstool gets an idea and asks Luigi if he still has his wrench, to which he replies in the affirmative. He then uses it to unscrew the bolts on a pipe to make water come out, flooding the dungeon and allowing him and his friends to escape.
