"Burn, Baby, Burn"[1] is a song from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Tag Team Trouble." The song plays in Mario and Luigi's training montage as they prepare for the wrestling match against the Sledge Brothers. The song was composed by Evan Roberts, Michael Tavera, and Joellyn Cooperman. "Burn, Baby, Burn" appears to be partially inspired by "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps.
The instrumental was played in place of the first instance of "Bad" in "King Mario of Cramalot," "Born to Be Wild" in "Toad Warriors," "Baby Sittin' Boogie" in "Two Plumbers and a Baby," "Weird Science" in "Koopenstein," "Beat It" in "The Unzappables," "Walk Like an Egyptian" in "The Ten Koopmandments," and "Money (That's What I Want)" in "The Great Gold Coin Rush."
The lines in red are not played during the episode, and can only be heard on the bonus disc of the Shout! Factory DVD set.
Lyrics[edit]
Stop, baby, stop!
Turn, baby, turn!
Keep on pumpin' iron,
Burn, baby, burn!
When there's no pain,
You know there is no gain
So burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!
Build it up, oh yeah!
Trim it down! (Down, down!)
Be the coolest dude... around!
Take what's weak! (Yes!)
Make it strong! (Real strong!)
Get in shape,
It won't be long!
Stop, baby, stop!
Turn, baby, turn!
Keep on pumpin' iron,
Burn, baby, burn!
When there's no pain,
You know there is no gain
So burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!
Burn, baby, baby,
Burn, baby, burn!
