"Girls Just Want to Have Fun'" is a song originally composed by Cyndi Lauper. A cover version of the song plays in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Reign Storm." The cover first plays as Princess Toadstool and Cutter engage in activities at the beach in Hawaii. The cover later plays again when Princess Toadstool and Toad stop King Koopa's crowning. This song has since been edited out in later airings of the show, being replaced by an instrumental of "Mega Move," which originates from Captain N: The Game Master. However, the cover can still be heard on the Super Mario Bros.: King Koopa Katastrophe DVD.

Lyrics[edit]

Part 1

The phone rings... in the middle of the night
My father yells "Whatcha gonna do with your life?"
Daddy dear, you know you're still number one,
But girls... just wanna have fun
Oh, girls... just wanna have

That's all they really want!
Some fun!
When the workin' day is done,

Oh, girls... (Ohoo-hoo-hoo!)
They wanna have fun!

Part 2

Oh, girls just wanna have fun! (They wanna!)
They wanna have fun, girls! (Ohoo-hoo-hoo!)
They wanna have fun, girls! (Ohoo-hoo-hoo!)

They wanna have fun, girls!
They wanna have fun, girls! (Ohoo-hoo-hoo!)

They wanna have fun!
