"It's a Dog's Life", referred to as "Life Of A Dog" on The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Complete Series DVD, is a song from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Life's Ruff". The song plays as Luigi and King Windbag, now dogs, chase after Hip and Hop after the two take King Windbag's wand.

The instrumental, under the title "It's a Dog's Life (1989 Season)", was played in place of the second instance of "Surfin' Bird" in "The Bird! The Bird!", the first instance of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" in "Mario and the Beanstalk", "Great Balls of Fire" in "The Fire of Hercufleas", "Limbo Rock" in "Pirates of Koopa", and "Danger Zone" in "Mario and the Red Baron Koopa".
