"You Bet Your Lasagna!" is an unproduced episode of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.
Plot synopsis[edit]
After battling each other once again, Mario and King Koopa attempt to settle their differences by agreeing to a contest; the loser of the contest must leave the Mushroom Kingdom forever. The rules of the contest are that, for a whole day, Mario cannot eat anything while Koopa cannot lose his temper. If either player breaks the rules, they lose the contest.
Initially, both opponents are confident of their victory, though this does not last very long: Mario's stomach is growling and Koopa is about to lose his temper. Determined to beat his rival, Koopa has his Koopalings tempt Mario with a series of pasta dishes everywhere he goes to sabotage his chances of winning. Luigi, the Princess, and Toad respond with their own sabotage to have Koopa lose his temper.
The outline of the episode ends here, but it can be assumed that, thanks to the help of his friends, Mario manages to restrain himself from eating the pasta dishes while Koopa ultimately loses his temper. With this, Mario wins the contest and Koopa must leave the Mushroom Kingdom.

- Another episode featuring a competition where the loser must leave the Mushroom Kingdom is "Princess Toadstool for President", which has the Princess and King Koopa agreeing to an election to decide who should rule the Mushroom Kingdom, with the loser having to leave the kingdom. The episode also features both sides trying to sabotage each other's chances of winning, with the Koopalings setting off a firecracker to ruin the Founder's Day fireworks and the Princess exposing Koopa of using a Nice Guy Potion to try to win the election.
