Variant of Koopa Troopa

Cave Troopas[1] are a prehistoric variation of Koopa Troopas. They appear in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Quest for Pizza", and serve as the minions of Alley Koop.

In "Quest for Pizza", Cave Troopas appear when Alley Koop orders them to attack Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad after Mario becomes unconscious from getting bitten by his Cobrat. Their main method of attacking is either throwing their spears, or launching said spears by using bows. Later, when Luigi and his friends venture to find a Fire Flower to cook Mario's pizza, the Cave Troopas launch their spears at Luigi until he grabs the Fire Flower and transforms into Super Luigi, in which they retreat afterwards.
