Moose[1] are a real-life species of mammal that appear in Mario Kart World. The design is based on a bull moose, which are mature males of the species. Moose wander around slowly and will spin out any racer that crashes into them. Racers will need to move around them or take a different path to not collide with the animal.
In Free Roam, Moose are found in the snowy region, near Acorn Heights, Boo Cinema and DK Pass. They are also found in the following routes:
- Grand Prix
- First lap towards Starview Peak in the Star Cup
- Second lap towards Dry Bones Burnout in the Leaf Cup
- Knockout Tour
- Fifth section of the Acorn Rally
- Second section of the Drill Rally
- Other routes
- First lap from Acorn Heights to Boo Cinema
