Acorn Heights is the first course of the Special Cup in Mario Kart World, and is the final destination of the Golden Rally. It is the northernmost course on the map, taking place within a giant tree with large acorns in the far north of the forest region. Racers drive through a small village in the treetops, along leaf platforms and over small rivers around the tree's roots. There are Stingbies and Wigglers roaming on the track. The river section of the course features Skeeters, being the only course in the series to date to feature them. The course has a passing resemblance to Wild Woods from Mario Kart 8, and is the third course in the series to revolve around a giant tree, after Maple Treeway and Wild Woods. The music for this course uses a mixed meter, alternating between 6
8
and 3
4
time signatures. This course along with Wario Shipyard, Great ? Block Ruins, and Rainbow Road are the only courses in the game to not have codas in their music, as they (except for Rainbow Road, which does not appear in Knockout Tour at all) only appear at the end of Knockout Tour rallies.

Kamek can turn drivers into Chargin' Chuck, Stingby, Wiggler, and Spike on this course. It is the only course where Kamek can turn racers into Stingby or Wiggler.

Course layout[edit]

Routes[edit]

There are three different paths that enter Acorn Heights depending on the route taken to reach the track.

  • Traveling from Dandelion Depths or Boo Cinema has the player enter the track by driving up a tree root from the right side of the track, then take a sharp right turn to travel through the starting line.
  • Traveling from Dry Bones Burnout or Toad's Factory has the player enter the track from the ending section, just before the racers drive up the tree's roots.
  • Traveling from Mario Circuit has the player enter the track across a small strip of water, before joining up with the end of the first path.
