Birdo performing a Wall Ride in DK Spaceport

The Wall Ride is a technique introduced in Mario Kart World. If the player performs a Jump Boost or Charge Jump while facing a wall, they can briefly drive along it. While performing a Wall Ride, the player can trick off of it onto another nearby wall, or back onto the track. If the player does not trick during the Wall Ride, they will simply fall down. Wall Riding onto the top of a thin wall (or any wall with a rail on its top edge) will transfer the player into a Rail Ride.

In Free Roam, some ? Panels can be found on walls, and are intended to be activated using a Wall Ride.
