"Dino Piranha"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays during the boss battles against Dino Piranha in Good Egg Galaxy, Tarantox in Space Junk Galaxy, and Black Dino Piranha in Melty Molten Galaxy.

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "Dino Piranha", and it returns in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, for the same purpose. It is also included in the official Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack album.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]

In Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, the original version of "Dino Piranha" plays during the boss battles against Dino Piranha and Black Dino Piranha in Boss Blitz Galaxy.

In the Wii version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, an arrangement of "Dino Piranha" plays in the Dream Spacewalk event when Dino Piranha becomes enraged. It is titled "Dream Spacewalk: Dino Piranha (Super Mario Galaxy)" in the game's sound test.
