Spiky icebergs are obstacles in Super Mario Galaxy. They are large chunks of ice resembling pineapples that appear floating in the water in circles. If Mario (or Luigi) touches one, he will be launched backward. If a spiky iceberg touches an ice platform created by Ice Mario, it will destroy it. Only three spiky icebergs appear in the entire game in the Beach Bowl Galaxy, in the mission "Wall Jumping up Waterfalls", where they appear at the top of the Twin Fall Lake Planet. Here they block and destroy the path that Ice Mario needs to make to guide the Cataquack to the Power Star.
