"Waltz of the Boos"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays in Ghostly Galaxy and the Teresa Room Planet in Deep Dark Galaxy. The theme opens with a suspended arpeggio that spells D–E–A–D.

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "Waltz of the Boos," and it returns for the same purposes in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is also included in the official albums Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack and The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music.

Super Mario 3D Land[edit]

In Super Mario 3D Land, an arrangement of "Waltz of the Boos" plays in the Ghost Houses.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star[edit]

Paper Mario: Sticker Star features two arrangements of "Waltz of the Boos."

The theme that plays inside The Enigmansion incorporates arrangements of "Waltz of the Boos" and "Ghost House BGM" from Super Mario World. It is likewise titled "The Enigmansion" in the Sticker Museum music gallery.

A more fast-paced arrangement of "Waltz of the Boos" plays when Mario discovers the Boo swarm in the kitchen of The Enigmansion and when Kamek summons the Big Boo.
