- “The synthesiser melody line is meant to suggest the sound of ghosts singing. We imagined all the Boos dancing along to this track, which means that even though it might sound like it's from a horror film, it has a slight comical edge.”
- —Liner notes in the Mario Kart 8 Original Soundtrack
"Twisted Mansion"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Shiho Fujii for Mario Kart 8, where it plays in the race course of the same name.
This theme played as the background music for the Wii U's eShop during Halloween of 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 in North America. It also played as the background music for the Nintendo 3DS's eShop during Halloween 2017 in the same region.
