"Koopa Troopa Beach",[1][2] also known as simply "Beach",[3] is a musical theme composed by Kenta Nagata for Mario Kart 64, where it plays in the race course of the same name. This theme incorporates part of the melody from the "Theme from A Summer Place" by Percy Faith.

Mario Kart 64[edit]

Mario Kart 64 marks the first appearance of "Koopa Troopa Beach". It is also included in the official soundtrack albums Mario Kart 64 Race Tracks, Mario Kart 64 Original Soundtrack, and Mario Kart 64: Greatest Hits Soundtrack.

Mario Kart 7[edit]

In Mario Kart 7, an arrangement of "Koopa Troopa Beach" plays in N64 Koopa Beach. It is likewise titled "N64 Koopa Beach" in the Nintendo Music app. This arrangement uses higher-quality samples, but it is otherwise near identical to the original. A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

In Mario Kart Tour, the Mario Kart 7 arrangement of "Koopa Troopa Beach" plays in N64 Koopa Troopa Beach.

Mario Kart World features two arrangements of "Koopa Troopa Beach".

A pop-punk arrangement of "Koopa Troopa Beach" can play in Free Roam during the day, on the route from Koopa Troopa Beach to Faraway Oasis in the Shell Cup, and on VS Race routes coming from Koopa Troopa Beach, Peach Beach, and Salty Salty Speedway. It is titled "Koopa Troopa Beach (Rock) (Mario Kart 64)" in the Nintendo Music app and simply "Koopa Troopa Beach (Rock Ver.)" in the game's pause menu.

An electro arrangement of "Koopa Troopa Beach" can play exclusively in Free Roam during nighttime. It is titled "Koopa Troopa Beach (Electro) (Mario Kart 64)" in the Nintendo Music app and simply "Koopa Troopa Beach (Electro Ver.)" in the game's pause menu.
