"Yoshi Desert"[1] is a musical theme in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, where it plays in the race course of the same name.
Composition[edit]
"Yoshi Desert" is an Arabic-inspired composition that uses a double harmonic scale for the majority of its main melody. A modified version of "Yoshi ni noru toki" from Super Mario World plays in time with the beat throughout the theme.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit marks the first appearance of "Yoshi Desert".
Mario Kart Tour[edit]
In Mario Kart Tour, an arrangement of "Yoshi Desert" plays in GBA Yoshi Desert, which was first added in the 2023 Yoshi Tour. The synth bass is replaced with a simple pulse waveform, and the Yoshi vocals are retained, now using the original version of the sound effect.

Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, an Oriental metal arrangement of "Yoshi Desert" can play in Free Roam during the day, on the route from Shy Guy Bazaar to Wario Stadium in the Flower Cup, and on VS Race routes coming from Desert Hills and Shy Guy Bazaar during the day. It is fully titled "Yoshi Desert (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)" in the Nintendo Music app. This arrangement lacks the Yoshi vocals.
The game's arrangement of "Desert Theme" from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which can play in Free Roam during the day, quotes "Yoshi Desert" about 43 seconds in. It is fully titled "Desert Theme (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)" in the Nintendo Music app.
