"Dry Bones Burnout"[1][2] is a musical theme in Mario Kart World, where it plays when racing on the course of the same name. The main melody features a saxophone, an accordion and mariachi trumpets, while the backing melody prominently features a piano.

In Knockout Tour, approaching the next checkpoint causes the music to transition into a coda.

Mario Kart World features the first appearance of "Dry Bones Burnout". A repeating arrangement of the piano melody from the A section (albeit adapted to a new chord progression) with an improvised accordion melody plays when approaching the course from a route before reaching the its finish line. It is titled "Dry Bones Burnout (Intro)" in the Nintendo Music app.

An arrangement of "Dry Bones Burnout (Intro)" plays throughout most of the intro cutscene for the Leaf Cup, when Dandelion Depths, Boo Cinema, and the course are being shown. It is titled "Opening (Leaf Cup)" in the Nintendo Music app.

An arrangement of the intro of "Dry Bones Burnout" is incorporated into "Staff Credits". It plays at around 2 minute and 20 seconds in, serving as a bridge between arrangements of "Bowser's Castle" and "Boo Cinema".
