"Great ? Block Ruins"[1][2] is a musical theme in Mario Kart World, where it plays when racing on the course of the same name. This theme's melody is played in multiple instruments, with a marimba playing on the back. The A section used a flute accompained by a steel pan and a dulcimer. The B section consists of a call and response with a flute and a violin, which is followed by a C section with an electric guitar and dulcimer playing the lead melody and a brass countermelody. The track ends with a flute solo section, that loops back to the intro.
This theme, "Wario Shipyard", "Acorn Heights", and "Rainbow Road" are the only course themes in the game to not have any codas in their music, as these tracks (except for "Rainbow Road", which does not appear in Knockout Tour at all) only appear at the end of Knockout Tour rallies.

Mario Kart World features the first appearance of "Great ? Block Ruins". A prelude pastiche of the theme, with a marimba melody and choir plays when approaching the track from a route before reaching the course's finish line. It is titled "Great ? Block Ruins (Intro)" in the Nintendo Music app.
A waltz arrangement of the solo section of "Great ? Block Ruins" is incorporated into "Staff Credits". It plays at around 2 minute and 53 seconds in, between the arrangements of "Starview Peak" and "Mario Circuit". Unlike in the main theme, this section plays twice, it is first played on a violin, and then played on strings with an accompanying glockenspiel.
