"Crown City"[1][2] is a musical theme in Mario Kart World, where it plays when racing on the course of the same name. This theme's melody prominently features a talkbox, with call and response with brass section. It also features saxophones and an electric piano.

In Knockout Tour, approaching the next checkpoint causes the music to transition into a coda.

A prelude arrangement of the theme, featuring a repeated brass section melody followed by an improvised talkbox melody plays when approaching the track from a route before reaching the course's finish line. It is titled "Crown City (Intro)" in the Nintendo Music app.

An arrangement of the first four bars of "Crown City (Intro)" plays during the intro cutscene for the Shell Cup. It is titled "Opening (Shell Cup)" in the Nintendo Music app.

A big band arrangement of the chorus section of "Crown City" is incorporated into "Staff Credits", which plays during the game's staff credits and is a medley of various themes from the game. It plays at around 1 minute and 30 seconds in, between the arrangements of "Salty Salty Speedway" and "Cheep Cheep Falls".
