"Rock Rock Mountain"[1] (known as "Alpine Pass" in PAL regions) is a musical theme in Mario Kart 7, where it plays in the race course of the same name. It blends 1970s hard rock with more modern synth sounds.
The theme interpolates "Title BGM" from the NES game Mach Rider, and "Staff Credits" from Mario Kart 64 before it loops.

Mario Kart 7 marks the first appearance of "Rock Rock Mountain." A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place. The version of the theme that plays during the final lap features a unique intro; this distinction is shared with "DK Jungle" in Mario Kart 7, "Toad Harbor", "Mute City" and "GBA Ribbon Road" in Mario Kart 8, and "SNES Bowser Castle 3" in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
