"Toad Harbor"[1] is a musical theme composed by Shiho Fujii that appears in Mario Kart 8, where it plays in the course of the same name.

Reuses[edit]

The following list does not include ports or remakes of Mario Kart 8.

Work Description
Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit "Toad Harbor" plays in Lightning Lagoon.

Arrangements[edit]

Mario Kart 8[edit]

An additional, looping drum set beat is layered on top on the theme when the player is driving at top speed in first place.

The final lap version of the theme also uses a shorter intro; this distinction is shared with "Rock Rock Mountain" and "DK Jungle" in Mario Kart 7, "Mute City" and "GBA Ribbon Road" in Mario Kart 8, and "SNES Bowser Castle 3" in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Mario Kart World[edit]

Mario Kart World features two arrangements of "Toad Harbor":

A faster "daytime" arrangement can play during routes in Grand Prix or VS Race; in Grand Prix, it is one of three arrangements that can play on the route from Crown City to Whistlestop Summit in the Mushroom Cup.

A calmer "nighttime" arrangement can play in Free Roam and is exclusive to that mode. It also quotes part of the Highlight Reel version of "Dolphin Shoals (On the Sea)."
