Second qualifier

The second qualifier was designated the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live. It consisted of four separate phases, each starting with (up to) 48 players who competed across two rounds:

• in the first round, the 48 players were divided into groups of 12. The players within each group competed together across four races. The top 3 players from each group advanced to the next round.
• in the second round, the top 3 players of each group (totaling 12 players) raced each other. The 2 best players by the end of this round went on to participate at the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023.

Across the four phases, 8 players made it to the championship.
