"Sky-High Sundae"[1] is a musical theme composed for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass DLC, where it plays in Sky-High Sundae.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
Wave 2 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass marks the first appearance of "Sky-High Sundae." A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
An arrangement of "Sky-High Sundae" is incorporated into the staff credits theme for the Booster Course Pass, titled "Staff Credits (Booster Course Pass)," near the end of the theme.

Mario Kart Tour[edit]
In Mario Kart Tour, an arrangement of "Sky-High Sundae" plays in Sky-High Sundae. This rendition is similar to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version, but uses entirely synthesized instrumentation rather than live-performed instruments.

Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, an arrangement of "Sky-High Sundae" plays in Sky-High Sundae. It is notably very similar to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe version, though it is mixed and mastered differently. In particular, the percussion track is much more prominent and "punchier".
When approaching Sky-High Sundae from a route before reaching the course's finish line, a simple prelude arrangement of "Sky-High Sundae" plays, featuring strings and a sparse piano melody. Exiting Sky-High Sundae during a Knockout Tour Rally plays a unique ending coda. An additional arrangement of the prelude theme without the piano plays when starting the race on the Ice Rally. The intro cutscene for the Star Cup features brief arrangements of the cup's courses, including an arrangement of "Sky-High Sundae."
