While in the area containing the Bouncing Notes, three metronome beats will be added to the instrumentation just before they hit the ground after jumping.
A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

Mario Kart 8 / Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
- “This is a special version we've come up with for the soundtrack, with some additional sound effects that you hear while going around the track.”
- —Liner notes in the Mario Kart 8 Original Soundtrack
In Mario Kart 8 and the Nintendo Switch port, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, an arrangement of "Music Park" arranged by Atsuko Asahi plays in 3DS Music Park. It is titled "3DS Music Park" or "3DS Melody Motorway" in the Nintendo Music app, depending on region; the latter name, which is the course's European name, is used in the official Mario Kart 8 Original Soundtrack album, as it was only released in Europe, Japan, and Australia.
As with Mario Kart 7, when driving on the piano, xylophone, and glockenspiel, a backing track played on those respective instruments will be added to the instrumentation.
While in the area containing the Bouncing Notes, three metronome beats will be added to the instrumentation just before they hit the ground after jumping, this time played louder than in Mario Kart 7.
A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.
In the second half of the Mario Kart 8 Original Soundtrack version of the theme, the piano, xylophone, glockenspiel, and metronome instrumentation is added in sequence matching the order and timing of the additions in the course itself.
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's sound test, all variations of "Music Park" (sans the frontrunning variant) are available, making for a total of five variants, which is the most amount given to a single musical theme in the whole game. In the Nintendo Music app, only the normal variant is available.
