"Northern Hemispheres"[1][2] (known as "THE SNOW LEVEL" in Japanese soundtracks) is a musical theme composed by Eveline Novakovic for Donkey Kong Country, where it plays in the snow levels: Snow Barrel Blast and Ice Age Alley.

Donkey Kong Country marks the first appearance of "Northern Hemispheres". It is also included in the official albums DK Jamz, Super Donkey Kong Game Music CD Jungle Fantasy, Super Donkey Kong Original Sound Version, and Donkey Kong Country Trilogy.
In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, an arrangement of "Northern Hemispheres" plays for the same purpose as in the original game.
"Northern Hemispheres" does not appear in the Game Boy Color remake of Donkey Kong Country, as it is replaced with the game's arrangement of "Ice Cave Chant".

Donkey Kong Country Returns, the Nintendo 3DS port, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, and the Nintendo Switch port, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, features two arrangements of "Northern Hemispheres" that play in various levels in the Cliff world. Both arrangements incorporate wood and wind instruments.
An arrangement of the second half of "Northern Hemispheres" plays in Weighty Way and Precarious Plateau. It is titled "Boulder Roller" in the game's music gallery. Despite the name, it does not play in the level of the same name.
An arrangement of the first half of "Northern Hemispheres" plays in Prehistoric Path, Boulder Roller, Crumble Canyon, and Tippy Shippy. It is titled "Clifftop Concert" in the game's music gallery.
