"King Kaliente"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays during the boss battles against King Kaliente in the Good Egg Galaxy, Bugaboom in the Honeyhive Galaxy, Topmaniac in the Battlerock Galaxy and the Dreadnought Galaxy, and Black King Kaliente in Bowser Jr.'s Lava Reactor.

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "King Kaliente", and it returns in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, for the same purpose. It is also included in the official Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack album.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]

In Super Mario Galaxy 2 and the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, the original version of "King Kaliente" plays during the boss battles against Bugaboom in the Puzzle Plank Galaxy and King Kaliente in the Boss Blitz Galaxy.
