"Megahammer"[2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy 2, where it plays during the boss battle against Megahammer in Bowser Jr.'s Fearsome Fleet.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy 2 marks the first appearance of "Megahammer". It is also included in the official Super Mario Galaxy 2 Original Soundtrack album. When the player is not riding a Yoshi, most of the percussion is omitted from the instrumentation. Both the original theme and the remix return in the Nintendo Switch port, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, for the same purposes.
