- “You're quite the peculiar little one, out here on your own. You should go home to your mama”
- —Pink comet, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2
The pink comet is a character appearing in the Rosalina's Storybook chapters added to the Nintendo Switch port of Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is a large pink-colored comet made of stone with a Thwomp-like face. It appears hurtling through space after Mari leaves the Li'l Cinder planet. After noticing the comet, Mari approaches it and begins a conversation with it. During the conversation, the comet is surprised by Mari's responses, as they sound too mature for a little one like her. At one point, the comet nearly crashes into a star due to its shock at her answers. After recommending that Mari return home to her mother, the comet drifts away, leaving Mari scoffing.
