Recent highlights, Nintendo Music

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a digital soundtrack corresponding to the Super Mario Galaxy 2 game for the Wii system that was made available on Nintendo Music on September 15, 2025. The tracklist initially was exactly the same as that of the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Original Soundtrack, which previously only provided track names in Japanese. It was released three days following the announcement of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for the Nintendo Switch. On October 1, 2025, to coincide with the launch of Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, "Twins" and "Special Someone", two tracks from that release of the game, were added. A redirect to this soundtrack representing the Nintendo Switch version of the game was also added to the "Search" screen at the same time.

Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder are listed as related games.

Notes[edit]

  • The tracks "Twins (From the Nintendo Switch version)" and "Special Someone (From the Nintendo Switch version)" have the shortest time between their release on Nintendo Music and their original appearance in a game, with Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch releasing just a day later worldwide after both tracks were added on Nintendo Music.
    • This trait is shared with "Good Night (From the Nintendo Switch version)" from Super Mario Galaxy.
