Super Mario Galaxy 2 marks the first appearance of "Bowser's Galaxy Generator." Additional percussion is added to the instrumentation whenever the player rides a Yoshi. The theme is also included in the official albums Super Mario Galaxy 2 Original Soundtrack and The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music.

In Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, an arrangement of "Bowser's Galaxy Generator" can be chosen as the background music for events. It is titled "Bowser's Galaxy Generator: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Remix)" in the game's Sound Test.

In Mario Kart World, an arrangement of "Bowser's Galaxy Generator" can play in Free Roam and during routes in Grand Prix or VS Race. In Grand Prix, it is one of the themes that can play on the route from Toad's Factory to Bowser's Castle in the Lightning Cup.
