"Ghost House BGM"[1] is a musical theme composed by Koji Kondo for Super Mario World, where it plays in the Ghost House levels and the Sunken Ghost Ship. This theme is a slower-paced, more eerie and foreboding arrangement of "Ground BGM" from the same game, similar to "Castle BGM."

Mario Kart: Super Circuit[edit]
In Mario Kart: Super Circuit, an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" from Super Mario Kart with chiptune instrumentation plays in Ghost Valley 1, Ghost Valley 2, and Ghost Valley 3. Moreover, an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" is incorporated in the theme that plays in Boo Lake and Broken Pier.

Mario Kart Wii[edit]
In Mario Kart Wii, an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" from Super Mario Kart plays in SNES Ghost Valley 2. This arrangement uses higher quality samples, but it is otherwise near identical to the original. This arrangement returns in Mario Kart Tour, where it plays in SNES Ghost Valley 1, SNES Ghost Valley 2, and RMX Ghost Valley 1.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as part of Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass, an arrangement of the Mario Kart: Super Circuit version of "Ghost House BGM" plays in GBA Boo Lake, likewise titled "GBA Boo Lake" in the Nintendo Music app. A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

Mario Kart World[edit]
In Mario Kart World, an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" from Super Mario Kart can play during routes in Grand Prix or VS Race. In Grand Prix, it is one of four arrangements that can play on the route from Boo Cinema to Dry Bones Burnout in the Leaf Cup.
Mario's Time Machine[edit]
The SNES version of Mario's Time Machine features an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" that plays in Bowser's Castle.
The PC version of Mario's Time Machine features a medley arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" and the theme heard in Vanilla Dome in Super Mario World as one of two songs that can play in Bowser's Museum, the other being an arrangement of "Castle BGM".

In Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, the Game Boy Advance remake of Super Mario World, an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" plays in all of the same levels as in the original game.
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]
In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" plays in the e-Reader levels Doors o' Plenty and Vexing Doors.
New Super Mario Bros.[edit]
In New Super Mario Bros., the theme that plays in the Ghost House levels uses a similar compositional technique as "Ghost House BGM", beginning with the eerie high notes fading in.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]
In Super Mario Galaxy 2, an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" arranged by Mahito Yokota plays in Haunty Halls Galaxy and Boo Moon Galaxy. It is titled "Haunty Halls Galaxy" in the Nintendo Music app. Additional shaker and tambourine percussion is added to the instrumentation whenever the player rides a Yoshi.

Super Mario Maker[edit]
In Super Mario Maker, an ambient arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" using eight tracks that fade in and out randomly to create a dynamic mix plays while editing Super Mario World-style ghost house-themed courses in the Course Maker. Moreover, new bongo percussion is added to the original "Ghost House BGM" whenever the player rides a Yoshi, as this was impossible in the original game. Both the arrangement and the remix are reused for the same purposes in Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS and Super Mario Maker 2.

In Super Mario Maker 2, a music box arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" plays during the nighttime version of ghost house-themed levels in the Super Mario World style. Additional bongo percussion is added to the instrumentation whenever the player rides a Yoshi.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star[edit]
Paper Mario: Sticker Star features two arrangements of "Ghost House BGM."
The theme that plays outside of The Enigmansion is a looping arrangement of the beginning of "Ghost House BGM."
The theme that plays inside The Enigmansion, simply titled "The Enigmansion" in the Sticker Museum music gallery, incorporates arrangements of "Ghost House BGM" and "Waltz of the Boos" from Super Mario Galaxy.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie[edit]
In The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a sped-up arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" arranged by Brian Tyler plays at the end of "The Darklands," which plays while Luigi escapes from the horde of Dry Bones in the Dark Lands.
