"Ghost Valley"[1] is a musical theme composed by Soyo Oka for Super Mario Kart, where it plays in Ghost Valley 1, Ghost Valley 2, and Ghost Valley 3. It is an arrangement of "Ghost House BGM" from Super Mario World, but replaces the arrangement of "Ground BGM" with an original melody.

In Mario Kart 64, the theme that plays in Banshee Boardwalk incorporates an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" approximately 28 seconds in, played on low strings with some legato. It is likewise titled "Banshee Boardwalk" in the Nintendo Music app.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit[edit]

Mario Kart: Super Circuit features two arrangements of "Ghost Valley".

An arrangement of "Ghost Valley" is incorporated in the theme that plays in Boo Lake and Broken Pier at the beginning.

A faithful arrangement of "Ghost Valley" with chiptune instrumentation plays in Ghost Valley 1, Ghost Valley 2, and Ghost Valley 3.

Mario Kart Wii[edit]

In Mario Kart Wii, an arrangement of "Ghost Valley" plays in SNES Ghost Valley 2. This arrangement uses higher-quality samples, but it is otherwise near identical to the original.

Mario Kart Tour[edit]

In Mario Kart Tour, the Mario Kart Wii version of "Ghost Valley" plays in SNES Ghost Valley 1, SNES Ghost Valley 2, and RMX Ghost Valley 1.

Boo Lake also returns as a classic course, where a new arrangement of its theme plays.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe[edit]

In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as part of Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass, Boo Lake returns as a classic course, where an arrangement of its theme, based on the Mario Kart Tour version, plays. It is titled "GBA Boo Lake" in the Nintendo Music app. A looping drum set beat is added to the instrumentation whenever the player is driving at top speed while in first place.

Mario Kart World[edit]

In Mario Kart World, a drum and bass arrangement of "Ghost Valley" can play on the route from Boo Cinema to Dry Bones Burnout in the Leaf Cup and on VS Race routes coming from Boo Cinema.

The original version of "Ghost Valley" plays during the tribute missions for the Ghost Valley courses outside of Boo Cinema.
