"Rainbow Road"[1] is a musical theme in Mario Kart: Super Circuit, where it plays in the race course of the same name. The intro is based on "Rainbow Road" from Super Mario Kart. Said intro is skipped for the final lap version of the theme, as well as every time it resets from a Super Star or Boo. This is the only theme in Mario Kart: Super Circuit with this distinction, as well as the first theme in the entire Mario Kart series to have its final lap variant altered beyond increased tempo or pitch.
