The Cooking Tour is the nineteenth tour of Mario Kart Tour that began on June 3, 2020 and ended on June 16, 2020. True to its name, the tour introduced a chef variant of Mario while Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) returned alongside Baby Peach (Cherub) from the Paris Tour and Valentine's Tour as the spotlight drivers for the second week, and added new food-themed kart parts such as the Choco Macharon and the Chocolate Banana Crêpe. Additionally, Choco Island 1 from Super Mario Kart made a return as the signature course of the tour. For the first time, non-Gold Pass players could receive Gold Koopa (Freerunning) and Dry Bones (Gold) from the Gold Pipe. From this tour, Expert Challenges have been added, the player level has been increased from level 99 to level 150, and new items have been added to the Daily Selects. The menu's background featured the hills from Choco Island 1 as the landmark for this tour.
The Cooking Tour reused the Metal Mario Cup's bonus challenge from the Winter Tour for this tour's Iggy Cup, and the Donkey Kong Cup's bonus challenge from the London Tour for this tour's Waluigi Cup.
Signature kart sets
In every cup, the driver which the cup is themed about is raised a tier on each track, making them a three- or two-item driver on that course. Up until the Ice Tour, a kart and a glider were also given a bonus for each race in the cup.
Gold cells indicate rewards exclusive to Gold Pass members.
