The Sundae Tour was a tour of Mario Kart Tour. It originally occurred from September 6, 2023 through September 19, 2023 as the game's hundred-and-fourth tour, being rerun in the subsequent years.
The tour featured the first reappearance of Sky-High Sundae following its debut over a year prior in the previous Sundae Tour. The tour also featured many snow-themed courses, including the introduction of the final new remix course in the game, RMX Vanilla Lake 2, marking the first instance of two RMX courses being based on the same SNES course since the Peach vs. Daisy Tour introduced RMX Choco Island 2 over two years prior. This tour also introduced the R/T variants for RMX Vanilla Lake 1 and SNES Vanilla Lake 2.
Additionally, this tour introduced a gold variant of Wiggler, as well as a kart version of the Wild Wiggler from Mario Kart 8. A variant of the Strawberry Soft Swerve themed around chocolate and mint was also introduced, as well as a gold variant of that kart and multiple variants of the Mint & Berry Balloons, one being Halloween-themed despite the tour's release in September, and another being yellow and green.
Many of the courses in this tour last appeared in the 2022 Holiday Tour (with the exception of GBA Snow Land, all three Vancouver Velocity routes, and Merry Mountain), including Wii DK Summit R/T, which made its first reappearance since its debut in that tour. This was also the first tour since the 2022 Cat Tour to feature N64 Frappe Snowland R/T, and is the first tour to feature GBA Luigi Circuit following its debut in the 2023 Mario vs. Luigi Tour. This tour's Coin Rush course was Sky-High Sundae, which was reused from the 2022 Sundae Tour. The menu's background featured the giant ice cream sundae and ice cream cone helicopter as the landmark for this tour, which was reused from the aforementioned tour.
This was the first tour since the New York Tour (the first tour of the game) and the Marine Tour to give the Mach 8 and the Droplet Glider a favorite course, both being RMX Vanilla Lake 2R.
Similar to the 2023 Summer Tour, Poochy was featured on a course icon of GBA Luigi Circuit T, despite not being obtainable this tour.
At the start of the rerun, the official Mario Kart Tour YouTube channel erroneously titled the corresponding trailer the "Summer Tour" instead of the "Sundae Tour".[1]
As of this tour, all regular Mii Racing Suits from Mario Kart 8 were present in Mario Kart Tour.
The third and final rerun featured a trailer that removed the Tour & Ranked Cup Schedule[2] and served as the hundred-and-eighty-second and penultimate tour.
