"Piranha Plant Pipeline"[1] is a musical theme in Mario Kart Tour, where it plays in the race course of the same name, which was first added in the Pipe Tour.
Composition[edit]
"Piranha Plant Pipeline" opens with a direct quote of "Pipe Travel / Power-Down" from Super Mario Bros. done with a pulse wave, fitting with the course's heavy theming around Warp Pipes. The theme swaps leads frequently, but is mainly lead by an electric guitar, saxophones, and an electric organ. The theme also features fairly prominent percussion, as well as a bassline, which frequently plays around on the octave. During the bridge before the song loops, the bassline becomes heavily reliant on hopping up and down an octave.
