Yoshi Tour (2021)
From the Super Mario Wiki, the Mario encyclopediaJump to navigationJump to search
The Yoshi Tour was the fortieth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on March 24, 2021 and ended on April 6, 2021. It was the third tour to share its name with a previous tour, the seventh tour to be named directly after a character, and the first tour to have both of these traits. Like the Yoshi Tour in 2020, this tour was set around Easter. Blue Yoshi, White Yoshi, and Birdo (Black) were added as new drivers in this tour, while Yoshi (Egg Hunt) returned as one of the spotlight drivers in the first week. The Lakitu referee wore a spring-themed outfit during this tour. This tour's Coin Rush course was N64 Royal Raceway, which was reused from the Peach Tour. The menu's background featured the lighthouse from Yoshi Circuit as the landmark of this tour.
The 2021 Yoshi Tour reused the Yoshi Cup's bonus challenge from the Paris Tour for this tour's Luigi Cup (which was previously reused in the Los Angeles Tour's Diddy Kong Cup), the Dry Bowser Cup's bonus challenge from the Holiday Tour for this tour's Bowser Jr. Cup, the Bowser Cup's bonus challenge from the New Year's Tour for this tour's Peachette Cup (although the 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star requirements were changed from 3:00.00, 2:35.00, and 2:02.00 to 2:45.00, 2:15.00, and 2:04.00), the Metal Mario Cup's bonus challenge from the Mario Bros. Tour for this tour's Baby Rosalina Cup (although the 3-star requirement was decreased from 15 to 14), the Mario Cup's bonus challenge from the Baby Rosalina Tour for this tour's Donkey Kong Cup (although the 2-star and 3-star requirements were increased from 8 and 12 to 9 and 13), the King Boo Cup's bonus challenge from the 2020 Yoshi Tour for this tour's Bowser Cup, the Dry Bones Cup's bonus challenge from the Summer Festival Tour for this tour's Dry Bowser Cup (although the 3-star requirement was decreased from 23 to 21), and the Peach Cup's bonus challenge from the Super Mario Kart Tour for this tour's King Boo Cup (although the 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star requirements were all increased from 15, 26, and 38 to 20, 35, and 45).
