The Sunshine Tour was a tour of Mario Kart Tour. It originally occurred from July 26, 2023 through August 8, 2023 as the game's hundred-and-first tour, being rerun in the subsequent years.
This tour introduced Lakeside Park from Mario Kart: Super Circuit as the final GBA track and final classic course added to the game overall, while also adding in R/T variants for GCN Daisy Cruiser and SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2; the latter's R/T variant was previously seen in a screenshot during the 2021 Summer Tour. As of this tour, all Yoshi colors from Mario Kart 8 are present in Mario Kart Tour.
This tour marked the first reappearance of Sydney Sprint 2R/T since its debut in the September 2021 Sydney Tour and the first reappearance of SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2 since the Samurai Tour (the longest gap in the game between two appearances of a classic course).
The Summertime Celebration event began in this tour, and ran until the 2023 Summer Tour.
The YouTube videos linked to the in-game news announcement for the tour trailer and Mii Racing Suit trailer were initially marked as private rather than unlisted and were publicized on the platform later than usual.[citation needed] The trailers, however, were still publicly visible on Twitter[1][2] and Facebook[3][4] at the usual times.
The Coin Rush course for this tour was Sydney Sprint, which was previously used for the two Sydney Tours in April to May 2021 and September 2021, respectively. The menu background featured the Daisy Cruiser as the tour's landmark, being reused from the Ocean Tour.
The 2025 re-run of this tour introduced mechanic variants of Mario and Luigi as drivers, as well as four karts (the Tiny Titan and three variations of it), as part of an event celebrating the release of Mario Kart World. This was the only time since the 2023 Anniversary Tour that new drivers and karts were introduced to Mario Kart Tour; as a result, this is the only tour to have an official trailer for its second re-run (which adds a section promoting the Mario Kart World event),[5] as all other repeated tours only received trailers for their first re-runs. This event did not repeat in the 2026 re-run of this tour.
