Quotes from
"Catastrophe" (Super Mario Galaxy)
“This piece uses a combination of a male choir, electronic music and the orchestra to create a striking piece with impact and rhythm. Rather than expressing fear of Bowser, it's an upbeat piece that expresses Mario's determination to win.”
Liner notes in the Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack

"Final Battle with Bowser"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays during the third and final phase of the final boss battle against Bowser in Bowser's Galaxy Reactor. This theme incorporates an arrangement of "Catastrophe" from the same game at the beginning.
