The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an upcoming theatrical animated film produced by Nintendo in collaboration with Universal Pictures and Illumination and co-produced by Super Mario franchise creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Illumination co-founder Chris Meledandri. It is a direct sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and is the fourth feature-length film in the Super Mario franchise. It was first announced on March 10, 2024 (on MAR10 Day), and its title was later revealed in a teaser trailer during the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. The film is set to be released in the United States on April 3, 2026, in Japan on April 24, 2026, and in other regions on other dates throughout April 2026. The film will mainly be inspired by Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2^:5:16 and has been described by Miyamoto as the "main event" of the Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary celebration.^:4:20

Prior to the film's title reveal, in a press release article from NBCUniversal in May 2025, the film was given the title "Super Mario World", though it was later removed. Later, the domain name "supermariogalaxy.movie" was registered by NBCUniversal on September 3, 2025.
