Krispy Kreme is an international doughnut company founded in 1937. In 2026, Krispy Kreme partnered with Nintendo to release a line of products themed after The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Said products were released only in Japan. The promotion was announced on March 25, 2026,[2] and began on April 8, 2026.[2] The promotion has a tentative end date of May 26, 2026.[2]

Products[edit]

The following products were released.

Doughnuts
  • Mario Strawberry, a doughnut featuring a Mario Cap pick covered in strawberry icing. Additionally, the doughnut features star-shaped sprinkles.
  • Yoshi Custard Egg, a doughnut shaped like Yoshi's Egg covered in white chocolate. The doughnut is filled with custard cream, and features green chocolate pieces.
  • Chiko & Blueberry Galaxy, a doughnut featuring a monaka wafer disk emblazoned with multiple Lumas with the caption "Woo-hoo bedtime". The doughnut features pink strawberry icing, yellow pudding-flavored icing, a white chocolate coating, a blueberry glaze, and silver sprinkles.
Boxes
  • Question Block Doughnut Box, a box containing multiple random doughnuts themed after a ? Block. The box has the chance of containing at least one of five themed doughnuts, each of which feature a pick in the center depicting an item appearing in the film. The items featured are Yoshi's Egg, a Super Mushroom, a Fire Flower, an Ice Flower, and a Red Shell, respectively.
  • Galaxy Box, a box containing the three themed doughnuts.
  • Galaxy Dozen Half, a box containing the three themed doughnuts in addition to two original glazed doughnuts and a Double Chocolate Crunch doughnut. The box features artwork used in a poster for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie that is frequently featured on merchandise.

If the customer purchases the Galaxy Dozen Half, they will receive one of three stickers depicting a character from the film. These stickers depict Mario, Yoshi, and Rosalina, respectively. Additionally, a reusable bag themed after the promotion is being sold, 4,000 of which have been made.

On the day of the promotion's launch, the Krispy Kreme location at the Shibuya Cinema Tower was themed after The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Artwork of the film's characters was placed on the store's windows, in addition to being placed on the tables. A large doughnut featuring artwork of Mario riding Yoshi also stands near the window inside the store, which customers can take photos with.
