The Minus World,[1] also known as the Gateway Underground,[2] is a location in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It is a dark, futuristic city residing underground in the Gateway Galaxy that can only be accessed through a brick wall hologram. One notable location is Wart's Casino which hosts some of his 8 bits. Its name and method of access are a reference to the Minus World glitch from Super Mario Bros.

As Toad and Peach chase Ukiki to retrieve Toad's backpack, they notice Ukiki walking into a mysterious fake wall and discover that it is actually the entrance to the Minus World. After Toad and Peach enter, they find themselves in a bar full of various enemies before chasing Ukiki through the city to Wart's Casino.
