Painted Piranha Plants[1] are Piranha Plants made of purple goop that appear in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. While similar to the Proto Piranhas from Super Mario Sunshine, the Painted Piranha Plant's collectible card does not have any "Featured Game Titles" clips, indicating that this is a separate variant.
After Bowser Jr. takes Rosalina to Planet Bowser, she attempts to escape, but Bowser Jr. uses his magic paintbrush to summon a Painted Piranha Plant to subdue her. The Painted Piranha Plant lunges at her, slamming her against a chair and overwhelming her with goop, while Bowser Jr. cheers in triumph.
