Gold Fire Piranha Plants[1] are enemies in New Super Mario Bros. 2. They are Fire Piranha Plants under the effects of a Gold Ring. They behave in the same way as ordinary Fire Piranha Plants; however, when defeated, they grant more coins and release coins from the pipes they were in. Gold Fire Piranha Plants appear in one level in the entire game, World 6-2.
