Vivendi Visual Entertainment (later known as Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment) was a film, television, DVD, and digital distributor founded in 2004.[1] Vivendi would distribute DVDs on behalf of companies including Shout! Factory, which included some of their releases for DIC Entertainment's cartoons based on the Super Mario franchise.
In October 2013, Vivendi Visual Entertainment would be folded into NewVideo after being acquired by Cinedigm for $51.5 billion.[2]
