Bimbo (known as Grupo Bimbo in Mexico and as Bimbo Bakeries USA in North America) is a multinational company founded in 1945. Bimbo predominantly sells baked goods. Bimbo has partnered with Nintendo on two separate occasions to promote the Super Mario franchise.
Promotions[edit]
The first Super Mario-themed promotion held by Bimbo occurred in 2023 in Canada, themed after The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The promotion was known as the Mario Offer, and had its own distinct website. To participate in the promotion, customers had to purchase two participating bread products and one participating drink product. Participants then had to upload their receipt to the promotion's official website by August 10, 2023 in order to receive either a Cineplex general admission movie ticket code, a general admission buy one, get one movie ticket code, a large t-shirt themed after the film, or a Nintendo Switch OLED system.
Three years later, Grupo Bimbo held a promotion themed after The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Packages of their Little Bites mini-muffins (specifically the "Sorpresa" ("Surprise") flavor) were themed after the film. The theming appears to only be a visual change to the packaging, as the mini-muffins themselves appear unchanged.
