"Nintendo The Super Mario Bros. Movie - Q&A with the Cast! Pt.6 | JAKKS Pacific" is a promotional YouTube video published on the official Jakks Pacific YouTube channel in 2023. The video is themed after The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and, like the other six episodes in the series, features Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, and Jack Black. During the video, Pratt asks Jack Black a question pertaining to the film.
Synopsis[edit]
At the start of the video, Pratt sets down the Princess Peach action figure that he was holding in the previous video, and then asks this video's question, which is "What's your winning Mario Kart strategy?". He then says that he is asking Jack Black this question, as the two had the opportunity to play the game together previously. The video then cuts to a figurine of Mario in his Standard Kart as both Pratt and Day ask Black how he plays so well.
The video then cuts to a Koopa Troopa in a Bullet Bill-themed kart as Black states that he "plays to win", and then provides a tip for the other two. He states that, if one is in the lead during a race, they are a target. Thus, he states that they should "serpentine" and make themselves a moving target, otherwise they may get hit with either a Red Shell or a Green Shell. Black then says that, if one uses this technique correctly, the item in question will miss the player to either the left or to the right of them.
Black says that this is one of his "key bits of advice" for playing a Mario Kart game. As he says this, the video cuts back to the figurine of Mario in his Standard Kart. Day states that he usually drives straight, to which Black tells him that he can't do that while in the lead. Pratt says that this is "actionable advice", and Day states that he wishes that he had known this sooner.
Pratt then states that he was once in first place during a race, and that he was immediately hit with an item. Day then says that he has always tried to drive straight, and that he has thought to himself during races that he needs to straighten his kart. Black then states that one should have a powerful item that they can use directly before completing race to ensure their victory, as black says that he has lost many races by being hit with such an item at the end of the race.
Day says that this is a good strategy, and then points out the odd positioning of the leg of a Princess Peach action figure on a bike. The video cuts to said action figure as he says this. Pratt then jokingly states that this entire video series and the set that they are sitting in was created solely to get this information from Jack Black. Black and Pratt then both state that they can't believe that Black gave them the information.
